Study Permit

When is a Study Permit Required?
A study permit is required for international students planning to pursue academic, vocational, or professional training programs that are longer than six months in duration at a designated Canadian educational institution.
Eligibility for a Study Permit
To be eligible for a Canadian study permit, applicants must demonstrate the following:
- Acceptance into a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.
- Proof of financial support to cover tuition fees, living expenses, and returns transportation.
- Satisfactory academic credentials and a genuine intention to study in Canada.
- Ability to convince the immigration officer that they will leave Canada upon completion of their studies.
